Summary
In Mind Your Manners, B.B. Wolf, B.B. Wolf, the very recognizable wolf from numerous fairy tales, is invited to a tea party at a local library, but he is hesitant to attend. After consulting his friend the crocodile, he learns more about how to behave politely at a tea party. He reads an etiquette book teaching him some key phrases, like "Excuse me!" and "Thank you!" as well as fun rhymes to remember how to act properly. Your students will also love all of the guest appearances of other famous fairy tale characters as B.B. Wolf attends the tea party at the library. This book is also a great way to introduce some important lessons in manners to your students. In our classes, we used this book as a reading mentor text to demonstrate text-to-text connections, relating the text to other books on manners and fairy tales. Our kids also made a lot of text-to-self connections and text-to-world connections with the character of B.B. Wolf and their own experiences with manners and etiquette. Our students loved the hilarious rhymes, fun illustrations, and happy ending of this fun story!
